Milk Quality Farm Assessment
Dairy Cheq® can perform a Milk Quality Farm Assessment. This Assessment is included with some Dairy Cheq® Service Programs – check for availability in your area:
With the purchase of each Dairy Cheq® MilkGuard FD, dairy farmers will receive two on-farm milk quality assessments. The first is conducted prior to installation of the Dairy Cheq® MilkGuard FD, and the second is conducted 8-12 months after installation. The purpose of the Milk Quality Farm Assessment is to examine milk quality history, procedures, milking equipment, herd mastitis history, housing environment and other on-farm factors that can contribute to lower milk quality. The result of the assessment is individualized reports/guides to help producers further improve bulk tank raw milk quality.
Contract Installations
Dairy Cheq® has performed contract installations in the Provinces of Ontario and Quebec. Both of these jurisdictions entered into a contract with Dairy Cheq® to not only purchase Dairy Cheq® MilkGuards on behalf of their members, but to have Dairy Cheq® install those Dairy Cheq® MilkGuards throughout their provinces on an orderly basis according to a pre-determined schedule over multiple years.
Dairy Cheq® has the capability of performing multi-year installation contracts in any jurisdiction.
A contract installation program is the best way to install Dairy Cheq® MilkGuards on many dairy farms.
Our contract installations include:
- Labour, by trained Dairy Cheq® installation technicians
- Installation materials
- Specialized installation materials and equipment such as PCIP BOOTS and stud welders.
- Communication with individual dairy farms before their installation and on the imminent installation of their Dairy Cheq® MilkGuard
- A training session by our technicians for the dairy farmer on the operation of the Dairy Cheq® MilkGuard
- Training sessions for extension, field representatives and inspection personnel
- Training sessions for local stakeholders such as milk transportation personnel and service personnel of local dairy equipment dealers.
- Installations according to local regulations and guidelines.
